Truebridge Financial Marketing has announced its latest customer relationship. Eastern Bank, of Boston, Massachusetts has begun utilizing Cross Sell Advantage, a new financial institution marketing program developed by Truebridge, Inc. Through Cross Sell Advantage, Eastern can offer its customers an online Financial Answer Center, providing them with immediate answers to hundreds of financial questions.

“This allows Eastern to provide its customers with a valuable service while simultaneously generating more sales referrals and appointments,” said A. Stewart Rose, president of Truebridge Financial Marketing.

The Cross Sell Advantage system features an online Financial Answer Center that provides bank customers with answers to hundreds of financial topics. After viewing the topic of their choice, customers requesting additional information can be referred to a bank sales representative located at their local branch — simultaneously helping customers while creating sales leads. The high-quality content is developed and updated regularly by a top-three national accounting firm.

“Eastern’s mission is to provide our customers with superior service, quality products and the expertise they need to manage their finances,” said Gary E. Coltin, senior vice president for retail banking at Eastern. “Truebridge’s Financial Answer Center certainly helps us provide sound advice and service to our customers. It also allows us to further leverage our Web site as a delivery channel for service, since the information is readily available to customers at their convenience.”

“People have many financial needs, many of which can be met at their local bank. This is a tremendous way for banks to leverage their local presence and trusted brand image to meet more of these customer needs,” notes Rose.

Based in Boston, Eastern Bank is the largest independent, mutually owned commercial bank in New England. With $4.6 billion in assets and 51 branches in Greater Boston, Eastern offers a full range of financial products for consumers, businesses, investors, government agencies and non-profit organizations. Its wholly owned subsidiaries are Eastern Insurance, one of New England’s largest insurers, and Fantini & Gorga/iCap Realty Advisors, a real estate advisory firm.
